We have opened registration for our 2014 environmental summer courses in Pace’s Summer International Environmental Law Institute. More information on the summer program can be found at http://law.pace.edu/environmental-summer.

This will be the second year that we offer these intensive (1 and 2 week-long) environmental law courses. Last summer, our international environmental law courses drew participants from Brazil, China, the Netherlands, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, the UK, and the US. We are hoping to again attract a diverse and exciting group of attorneys, students, and interested professionals from around the world to join us in the heart of New York City for the 2014 courses.

The summer courses are organized around the theme of international and comparative environmental law. Each course will be taught by a Pace Law alumnus or professor with expertise in that area of environmental law. The instructor will bring participants on a field trip related to the course (e.g., a meeting at the United Nations). Certificates of completion and a limited number of scholarships are available.

This summer, the courses include: “Climate Change & Displacement,” “Ocean & Coastal Law (US & International)” (2 weeks long), “Wind Energy Law & Policy (US & UK),” “Introduction to International Environmental Law,” and “Introduction to Environmental Issues at the United Nations.” (We may also add another course or two.)

If you could share this information with colleagues, students or friends who might be interested in joining us in New York for one or more of the environmental summer courses, we would greatly appreciate it.
