CZARNEZKI.COM is a blog and website authored by Jason J. Czarnezki.   Jason is, as of the 2013-14 academic year, the Gilbert and Sarah Kerlin Distinguished Professor of Environmental Law at Pace Law School.  Prior to joining the Pace Law faculty, Professor Czarnezki was  Professor of Law in the Environmental Law Center at Vermont Law School, Faculty Director of the U.S.-China Partnership for Environmental Law, and a Faculty Fellow in the Vermont Law Center for Agriculture and Food Systems.  He has held academic appointments at Marquette University Law School, DePaul University College of Law, and Sun Yat‑sen (Zhongshan) University in Guangzhou, China, as a J. William Fulbright Scholar. Previously, Professor Czarnezki served as a law clerk to the Honorable D. Brock Hornby of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine and as a law clerk for the Bureau of Legal Services at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. His articles have been published in the law journals of Boston College, Boston University, Stanford Law School, University of Chicago, University of Colorado, University of Maryland, and University Virginia. His books include Everyday Environmentalism: Law, Nature and Individual Behavior (2011) Food, Agriculture and Environmental Law (2013). Professor Czarnezki, who received his undergraduate and law degrees from The University of Chicago, was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and currently lives in Montpelier, Vermont.

    I was just wondering how a Cafo of hogs could be built in a 100 year flood plain and next to the Kankakee River, which is one of the major water sheds of the United States? The raw sewage is leaching into one of our major water sheds of america. The river starts in Indiana and flows all the way to the gulf of mexico. You would think someone out there would want to protect the health of the people. It seems like noone cares about clean drinking water.
